Here at UK Steel Structures we offer a 75mm thick hard wood tread along with an optional 50mm downturn, All treads are designed and manufactured to fit directly to our staircases via one of our trusted construction partners, this guarantees a simple installation process with excellent fitment.


Bespoke Staircases Delivered nationwide!

With our superb in-house facilities UKSS are able to designed and fabricate your staircase exactly to your specifications and requirements along with a full set of approval drawings which ensures customer satisfaction and a stress free installation process.

Here at UK Steel Structures all our staircases are primed and coated using hard wearing and high quality powders with a large range on colours available but before this takes place our products are shot blasted to SA3 to ensure that they free from all contamination which also provides an excellent surface for the powder coating to stick too.

All of the Steel sections and CNC profiled components are all certified to BS EN 1090-2:2009 regulations, so quality is guaranteed. Every staircase manufactured leaves our workshop conforming to building regulations unlike many on the market.

Although we do not offer glass balustrades, we do offer bespoke steel railings which can be seen below. All staircases will come with a set of drawings which can simply be passed onto a glass manufacturer if required.

This fundamentally is due to the fact all our design and manufacturing process are complete in house to our own high standards which follows…

Design Stage

  • Design & Configure your staircase to the dimensions provided.
  • Send full approval drawings and ensure all our customer understands them.
  • Alter any dimensions or design for final approval drawings to be signed off.

Manufacturing Stage

  • Full fabrication drawings are issued to the fabricator.
  • Cut all main steel sections.
  • CNC Profile all steel components using our in-house CNC plasma Cutter.
  • Assemble and fabricate your staircase following full fabrication drawings provided by our design team.
  • Your Staircase is checked by 2 other fabricator before fully its fully welded to ensure they correct to the drawings.

Coating Stage

  • Your Staircase is shot blasted to cleaned to SA3.
  • The staircase is then degassed and preheated to accept the powder coating process.
  • Once your staircase is baked and cured it is allow to full cool down before packaging.
  • The staircase is then package and labelled ready for collect or delivery.
